Institutional Exhibition: International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture

Marcelo Moscheta presents his solo exhibition "Transfers" at the International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture in Santo Tirso, Portugal.
The exhibition focuses on Moscheta's recent work and involves the artist's relationship with the Portuguese territory and its ancestral layers. Always referencing the experience of bodily displacement in direct contact with the space traversed, the proposal aims to cross notions of archaeology and architecture that determine the production of the artist's works.
The artist develops his research interested in the wandering condition of humanity and how the connection between the territory and a body in constant motion occurs. With stone as the main testimony of the changes caused by constant transit, the surface of the world becomes his field of action and the natural landscape his quintessential location.
