Lives and Works Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Graduated in Fine Arts, Bachelor's degree, from Escola Guignard – UEMG with qualifications in sculpture and ceramics.

Iago's interest is balanced on the edges of the cities' ecosystem, among noises, coos and horns, he wanders through scientific laboratories and vivariums, and continues to sniff, infinitely, the limits between humanity and animals.

He prints his restlessness on a variety of materials, media and supports, ranging from ceramics, cement, rust and tar, to the lines that are embroidered on steel.

He held the solo exhibitions “Fístula” (2023) at Casa Fiat de Cultura (BH), followed by “More other than any other” (2023) at the BDMG Cultural Exhibition Prize (BH). Awarded at the 49th Luiz Sacilotto National Contemporary Art Salon (2021) and at the 6th IBEMA National Engraving Award (2016). He has been participating in important group exhibitions such as “Espelho Labirinto” at CCBB Brasília (2022), “Tramas da Memória” at the Museu de Artes e Ofícios de BH (2022), 10th Salão dos artists sem gallery (2019), among others.
