Winner of the Décio Noviello Prize, João Angelini brings the exhibition to Belo Horizonte “of what we were made of and what we left behind” at the Genesco Murta Gallery in the Palácio das Artes. The solo show by the artist from Planaltin is the result of years of research in different languages, where gestures and ways of doing things unfold into a great diversity of techniques and art categories. Thus, the exhibition is filled with works ranging from animation videos, pre-cinema holograms, paintings, installations, engravings and even an NFT (photography).
This diversity is approximated by questions about the reflection of ways of doing things, social structures, tactics of oppression, social control and territorial occupation.
