Dyana holds a degree in painting and sculpture from the School of Fine Arts at UFMG, where she also completed her master's degree and is currently an PHD student in Visual Arts.


Currently researches three-dimensional languages, often working with the anatomical measurements of her body to develop installations, wearable sculptures, and objects.
Using metallurgy and sewing techniques, undertaken by the women in her family, to steel and copper plates, her research is based on the influence of coloniality on her experiences and ancestral technologies and knowledge of existence.


Participant of the 9th edition of Bolsa Pampulha; she was selected by the 33rd Exhibition Program of the São Paulo Cultural Center, with the solo show "Arena", and is part of the exhibition "Dos Brasis: arte e pensamento negro" (Of the Brases: black art and thought). She has already won acquisitive prizes, taking first place at the 16th National Arts Salon in Jataí and the 7th Itabirito Regional Salon.
