Lives and works in São Paulo, SP, Brazil.

Painter, engraver and draftsman. Graduated in art education from the University for the Development of the State of Santa Catarina - Udesc/SC, in 1984. He has taken part in various exhibitions, including the 20th and 25th editions of the São Paulo International Biennial in 1989 and 2002. Between 1991 and 1992, he was resident artist at Plug In, in Winnipeg, Canada, at E-Werk Freiburg, in Freiburg, Germany, and, in 1999, at The Banff Centre for the Arts, in Banff, Canada. At the end of the 1980s, his drawings and paintings featured simple lines, coloured masses with irregular contours, curvilinear and geometric shapes on a monochrome background. From 1997 onwards, these shapes began to be grouped and juxtaposed, and geometric figures such as rectangles were added to the composition. In the production of his collages, he uses drawings made by himself in other periods, creating a dialogue between the present and the past. He took part as a speaker in the Dynamic Encounters International Art Workshop: São Paulo - Rio 2002, at the Tomie Ohtake Institute, São Paulo. In 2005, he had a solo show at Galeria Celma Albuquerque, Belo Horizonte, and the following year at Galeria Casa Triângulo, São Paulo.

His works are in the collections of important institutions and museums such as: the Santa Catarina Museum of Art (MASC); the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MAM/SP); the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo (MAC/USP); the Museum of Contemporary Art of Paraná (MAC/PR); and the Museum of Brazilian Art of the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (MAB/Faap).
